with a sunset to end the evening.

Despite the insane heat everyone managed to have a great time. I am certain the party lasted long after ‘team batman’ headed home. Team batman was the name given to us by this insane group of groomsmen who I think would have posed for us all day and skipped the wedding altogether. Well, maybe all of them except Steve.

The bride… more calm than any bride should be. She was smiling from the time we met her at the salon until her last dance at the reception. She was clearly enjoying every moment of her day. Especially this one…

and this one…

Thank you Steve and Amy for letting us share your day with you.

pinch her cheeks off?! Me too! I feel like it was last week I went to visit this little one in the hospital and now she is four months old. Hayden is the sweetest little thing ever. She didn’t fuss a bit about my loading her into this basket… just kept looking at me wide eyed. Thank you sweet girl for making this such an easy photo shoot. And thank your mommy for letting me rearrange her bedroom. Love you both!

tonight felt more like playing than photographing. McKenna and Mason were having a such a great time, I couldn’t help but have a great time with them. It started with a trip to the waterfall and ended with popsicles. In between we smashed and stomped water balloons, did some cartwheels, jumped on the bed, and took a tour of the house. Thanks for letting me play with you and for smiling a little bit in between!

the following pictures were purely for my own enjoyment… not a photo shoot. They are of my own little one and two of her friends who you will probably recognize from previous posts.

also known as Alex and Ian. We tried to work these outside this time, but it was just too hot and after 10 minutes of Ian face planting into the blanket and closing his eyes we decided to cool things off inside. Alex was quite the show off and even though Ian was still unsure of me when I left, mom and dad managed to help me get some great shots of both of these guys.

you can’t live with them and you can’t live without them. I’m sure mom can attest to this statement. These two were hilarious and despite their best efforts to get the worst pictures ever and torture each other, their mother, and the photographer… we still got some really great shots.

lost. This was such a great baseball game and they held on until the very end. I would have loved to have taken pictures of the victory, but it didn’t work out that way on this sunny Saturday afternoon. Instead it ended with a group of boys who hung their heads as they listened to a final pep talk from their coach.

out at the farm. I’m pretty sure at this point that this family generates half of my business. Two years ago they planned a hayride and bonfire and this year it was a pirate party.

This picture is the grandkids from two years ago. In the latest family photo you will notice there are three new babies in the family and the baby from the old picture is now the little guy standing in the front. I feel so privileged to be asked to document not only this one day, but a little bit of their lives. The kids are all so much fun and this year grandpa planned an elaborate treasure hunt which included a pirate ship, hats and eye patches, carefully designed clues and in the end a treasure chest. The pictures tell the story…

have my senior pictures taken? Girls have their’s taken a year in advance… boys would like for that dreaded day to never come. Despite their reluctance, mom eventually forces the issue. Sam was such a good sport even when we ran into someone who new him at the park. I told him to tell them he was getting a head start on his modeling career. I don’t think he was amused. Thanks, Sam, for keeping a smile on your face.
